Job summary

American Social in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a hospitality team member to warmly greet guests, guide them through menu options, and deliver food and beverages with a high standard of service.

You'll describe and upsell items, maintain clean and organized dining areas, and support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. Flexibility for late-night shifts and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age to serve liquor.
• Ability to work late nights, potentially 12 AM–3 AM.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (ServSafe, TIPs, etc) required.
• Food handling certificate a plus.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously.
• Guide guests through beverage and food ordering with recommendations.
• Describe and sell all items on the menu confidently.
• Deliver beverages and food efficiently while engaging guests.
• Close guest experience by collecting payment and inviting return.
• Maintain tables and assist with cafe/restaurant cleanliness.
• Support both FOH and BOH priorities and collaborate with team.

• Cleans and prepares tables for new guests
• Supports restaurant maintenance by stocking supplies and keeping a clean and organized environment
• Practices teamwork during all shifts and supports both FOH and BOH priorities
• Works cohesively with all Team Members
• Flexible to assist in other departments as requested
• Works well under pressure
• Follows the direction of the Managers on duty
• Supports and follows all Marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve liquor.
• Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM – 3AM
• Works assigned scheduled shifts
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (i.e Serv Save, TIPs, etc) required
• Food handling certificate a plus
• Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Ability to transport items up to 30 pounds
• Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
• Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
