Job summary

EBSCO Information Services seeks a Serials Sales Manager, Serials Specialist for the Western US to drive growth, renewals, and strategic development within SSD. Remote position, travel up to 60% to engage academic libraries and publishers, collaborating with regional sales managers to secure renewals and expand business.

The role requires deep Serials knowledge, strong relationship skills, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles across North America.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of sales experience, preferably in the academic market.
• 7 years of library experience working with serials or acquisitions workflows, or a combination.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Partner with RSMs to build and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders and lead strategic customer conversations.
• Serve as the Serials subject matter expert, delivering presentations and advising on serials strategy and workflows.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve SSD revenue targets.
• Own renewal strategy for SSD accounts and identify risks and expansion opportunities.
• Identify and advance new sales opportunities across publisher packages, title lists, and services.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate CRM reporting and forecasting.
