Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 in Huntsville, AL for the Sentinel program. The role balances functional oversight with technical leadership of up to 12 Systems Engineers and responsibility for a portion of program performance.

You will mentor and guide a Functional Homeroom team and collaborate across directorates to meet objectives. The position requires a Secret clearance, MBSE experience, and strong communication with internal teams and government customers.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance required.
• 1 year of ICBM experience (MMIII or Sentinel).
• 2 years of MBSE tool experience (SysML/DoDAF/UAFP in Cameo or Rhapsody).
• Sentinel special program access (PAR).

Responsibilities

• Functionally manage up to 12 Systems Engineers; set goals and evaluate performance.
• Define work scope, assign tasks, and ensure baselines traceability.
• Review verification content and governance artifacts for accuracy.
• Report program status to senior leadership and government customers.
• Provide mentorship and career development guidance to the team.
