Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Senior Workforce Absence Team Lead to oversee daily operations of examiners and technical staff across multiple client programs. The role requires strong client-facing capabilities, strategic oversight, and a focus on quality, compliance, and efficiency in claims handling.

You will mentor staff, guide jurisdictional and technical claims adjudication, monitor performance, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six years of related claim experience; at least two years in multi-client claims supervisory roles.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
• Expertise in jurisdictional and technical claims adjudication.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary operational contact for clients across multiple programs.
• Leads and participates in client meetings to support project initiatives and alignment.
• Supervises a team of examiners/technical staff and manages workloads.
• Monitors claim coding and documentation accuracy; ensures quality across programs.
• Delivers training, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff.
• Reviews management reports to identify trends and performance gaps; conducts quality audits.
• Prepares reports on claims trends, metrics, and improvement initiatives.
• Supports client-facing performance reviews and program alignment.
