Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Work Team Lead to supervise multiple examiners and technical staff handling disability claims for clients. The role focuses on workload monitoring, training, and jurisdictional direction of examiner reports to ensure accurate adjudication.

Responsibilities include quality reviews, handling appeals, reporting, and maintaining client relationships while ensuring license compliance and proper documentation across claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred; licenses as required.
• Six years of claims experience or equivalent; two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners/technical staff for disability claims with a wide span of control.
• Identifies trends/problems and advises management; supports continuous process improvement.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Performs quality reviews in compliance with audit and quality standards.
• Acts as second level of appeal for client/claimant issues; handles final dispositions.
