Job summary

Sedgwick, a global risk and claims solutions provider, seeks a Work/Efforts Team Lead to supervise multiple examiners and clinical staff on disability claims. The role directs adjudication, monitors workloads, and ensures quality and compliance while maintaining strong client communications and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Licenses as required. Professional certifications as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for disability claims.
• Identifies trends and issues; advises management and coordinates improvements.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Reviews management reports and takes appropriate action.
• Performs quality review on claims in compliance with audit and quality standards.
• Acts as second level of appeal and implements final disposition.
• Reviews reserve amounts on high-cost claims.
• Maintains contact with the client and promotes professional relationships.
