Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc. is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Specialist to oversee the company-wide program across all locations. You will coordinate injury reporting, transitional work, and claim handling in partnership with HR, EHS, and plant management.

This role requires building relationships with TPAs and MCOs to meet organizational objectives. You will monitor claims data, analyze trends, and manage the full life cycle of claim files, including payments and settlements, while staying

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization.
Solid negotiation skills with ability to make informed decisions independently.
Experience administering workers’ compensation claims in a multi-state environment.

Responsibilities

Administer the GLC workers’ compensation program across all locations and functions.
Collaborate with HR, EHS and plant management on claim administration and transitional work programs.
Interact with TPAs and MCOs to ensure proper handling of claims.
Communicate effectively and build cross-functional relationships with HR, EHS, and Operations.
Schedule and participate in claim conferences to discuss strategy, reserves, and settlement authority.
