Responsibilities

• Manage highly complex investigations of claims, including coverage, liability, and damages.
• Determine settlement or litigation strategy for major claims.
• Effectively manage loss costs and claim expenses.
• Coordinate discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel or panel attorneys.
• Negotiate highly complex settlements and authorize payments within authority.
• Coordinate subrogation with recovery units.
• Provide guidance on claims processes and resolution strategies to management.
• Analyze claims activities and present reports to management and clients.
• Interact with attorneys, account representatives, agents, doctors and insureds on complex claims.
• Stay current on state regulations, industry trends, and participate in industry groups.
