Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8–10+ years’ related claims handling experience involving complex litigation, reserving, settlement strategy, and high exposure claims.

Responsibilities

• Manages complex claims inventories requiring advanced technical expertise and strategic claim handling.
• Effectively communicates with policyholders, agents, attorneys, and witnesses to gather information and provide high-quality service.
• Promptly investigates claims to determine exposure and makes strategic recommendations.
• Uses appropriate resolution tactics (mediation, negotiation, denial, litigation or offer) to drive results.
• Directs defense counsel through litigation in line with ICW guidelines while monitoring costs.
• Ensures data accuracy in claims systems for regulatory reporting and compliance.
• Mentors less experienced team members and shares knowledge across the organization.
• Prepares and presents claims status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Administers benefits to injured workers within authority levels and within state rules.
