ICW Group is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner to handle moderate to highly complex workers’ compensation claims with a focus on exemplary service. You will manage claims inventories, assess exposure, and guide litigation with counsel where appropriate.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in claims handling; workers’ compensation certifications are preferred. Role resides in a collaborative office environment with strong team interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combination accepted.
• Minimum 5+ years of related claims handling experience; complex litigated claims preferred.
• Workers’ Compensation certification preferred; state license required in some branches.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of a moderate to highly complex claims inventory.
• Communicates with policyholders, agents, attorneys, and witnesses to gather information and provide high-level service.
• Investigates claims to determine exposure and makes strategic recommendations.
• Uses resolution tactics to drive results while following company and regulatory guidelines.
• Directs defense counsel through litigation with oversight on costs and fees.
• Mentors less experienced team members and shares knowledge across the organization.
