Job summary

ICW Group is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner to handle moderate to highly complex workers’ compensation claims with a focus on service excellence. You will manage claims inventory, gather information from policyholders and attorneys, investigate exposures, and drive equitable conclusions within company guidelines.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of claims experience, with preferred experience in litigated cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum 5+ years related claims handling experience; complex litigated claims preferred.
• Strong understanding of workers’ compensation laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage moderate to highly complex claims inventory with urgency and accuracy.
• Communicate with policyholders, agents, and attorneys to gather information and provide service.
• Investigate claims to determine exposure and provide strategic recommendations.
• Apply resolution tactics such as mediation, negotiation, denial, or litigation.
• Direct defense counsel through litigation in line with guidelines while monitoring costs.
• Mentor and train less experienced team members and share knowledge across the organization.
