Job summary

Acrisure in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Systems Accountant to support, maintain, and enhance the Workday Finance environment. The role serves as a hands-on resource for issue resolution, configuration, and end-user support, combining accounting knowledge with Workday expertise.

The ideal candidate has a CPA or CMA preferred, 3–5+ years in accounting or financial systems, and experience with Workday Finance, ERP integrations, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information systems, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Systems roles.
• Experience with Workday Finance in a systems, configuration, or functional analyst capacity.
• Experience with ERP or financial systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and core accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration and configuration of Workday Finance, including business process frameworks, security roles, and user setup.
• Act as a functional SME for Workday Finance, with knowledge across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Financial Close.
• Collaborate with accounting stakeholders to analyze problems, document requirements, and support Workday Finance solutions.
• Develop business requirements, test scripts, and training documentation for Workday Finance projects.
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions with IT or Accounting Systems Manager.
• Monitor interfaces and data flows between Workday Finance and other systems to ensure accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improvements within Workday processes.
• Support upgrades, bi-annual releases, and new module implementations; assist regression testing.
• Participate in UAT and verify changes meet requirements; create SOPs and user guides.
