Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership across data center building wireless systems, including DAS, Wi‑Fi, and Private LTE/5G. The role supports multiple projects with standardization efforts, client collaboration, and guidance to engineers, while ensuring compliance and quality across teams.

The position offers a hybrid work model in the United States, with a base salary range of $130,000 to $170,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years designing wireless telecom systems (LMR, DAS, Wi‑Fi, Private LTE/5G).
• 10+ years reviewing iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner, or similar tools.
• Experience as technical lead or SME on projects.
• Experience working with clients to identify wireless needs and respond to RFPs/RFIs.

Responsibilities

• Review wireless systems designs in iBwave and EDX.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for wireless designs.
• Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
• Coordinate with AHJs, Radio System Owners, and Carriers.
• DIV 27 specification creation, review, or modification.
• Conduct site visits and punch walks.
• Review technical documents and engineering deliverables.
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain wireless design standards and best practices.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers and project leads.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support proposal development and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
• Evaluate emerging wireless technologies and provide recommendations.
