Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to lead technical design and engineering across complex data center projects. You will guide projects from concept through commissioning, providing leadership to engineers, coordinating with BIM designers, carriers, and clients, and ensuring safety, standards, and quality across diverse DAS, Wi‑Fi, and Private LTE/5G systems.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+/- years' experience actively designing wireless telecommunications systems including LMR, Public Safety DAS, Commercial DAS, Wi-Fi, Private LTE/5G.
• 10+/- years' experience with reviewing iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner or similar RF modeling tools.
• Experience as a technical lead or subject matter expert.
• Experience working with clients to identify wireless needs and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving Wireless designs in iBwave and EDX.
• Provide technical leadership for wireless telecommunications designs.
• Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
• Coordinate with AHJs, Radio System Owners, and Carriers.
• Develop DIV 27 specifications and review or modify.
• Conduct site visits and punch walks.
• Review technical documents and engineering deliverables.
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain wireless design standards and best practices.
• Mentor engineers and project leads; manage stakeholder relationships.
• Support proposal development and RFP/RFI responses.
• Evaluate emerging wireless technologies and provide recommended solutions.
