Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership across projects nationwide, supporting DAS, LMR, Wi-Fi, and Private LTE/5G systems.
You will review designs, mentor engineers, coordinate with BIM designers and carriers, and help develop engineering standards while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.
This role offers a base salary between $130,000 and $170,000, with a hybrid work policy and benefits package.
Qualifications
- 10+ years designing wireless telecom systems (LMR, DAS, Wi-Fi, Private LTE/5G).
- 10+ years reviewing RF modeling tools (iBwave/EDX/Atoll).
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
- Experience with client engagement and RFP/RFI responses.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, FCC rules, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve wireless designs using iBwave/EDX.
- Lead technical guidance across projects.
- Coordinate with BIM designers for drawing packages.
- Coordinate with AHJs, radio system owners, and carriers.
- Develop engineering standards and best practices.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
