Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Wireless Telecommunications Subject Matter Expert to lead and mentor teams across multiple projects, delivering design reviews, site visits, and standards development for DAS, LMR, Wi‑Fi, and Private LTE/5G systems.

You will collaborate with clients, carriers, and internal teams to refine requirements, resolve issues, and optimize networks, with a hybrid work setup and a base U.S. salary range.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years actively designing wireless telecommunications systems (LMR, DAS, Wi‑Fi, Private LTE/5G).
• Experience as a technical lead or SME.
• Experience with reviewing RF modeling tools (iBwave, EDX, Atoll).
• Experience with client engagement and responding to RFPs/RFIs.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving wireless systems designs in iBwave and EDX.
• Provide technical leadership for wireless designs and oversee cross-discipline coordination.
• Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
• Coordinate with AHJs, Radio System Owners and carriers.
• Create/modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits and punch walks.
• Review technical documents and engineering deliverables.
• Support commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain wireless design standards and best practices.
• Mentor engineers and project leads; manage stakeholder relationships.
• Support proposal development and RFP/RFI responses.
• Evaluate emerging wireless technologies and recommend solutions.
