Job summary

Speechify is seeking an experienced Windows desktop software engineer to design, architect, and ship native apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, and C#. A strong focus on accessibility and scalable architecture will help reach millions of users across platforms.

You will collaborate with designers, QA, and product teams to define the roadmap, enforce best practices, and own features end-to-end from conception to release. Strong communication skills and mentoring others are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building Windows desktop apps with Windows App SDK.
• Strong knowledge of WinUI, XAML, and C#.
• Experience with native Windows interop (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Proven track record shipping production-grade desktop apps.
• Solid understanding of accessibility and UI automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop apps.
• Define best practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase.
• Drive accessibility efforts and ensure screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with product designers, QA, and stakeholders.
• Own full lifecycle of features from conception to release.
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance and memory issues.
