Job summary

Speechify is seeking a seasoned Windows desktop engineer to lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and optional C++. You will define best practices, drive accessibility, and collaborate with design, QA, and product teams to shape the Windows platform roadmap.

You will own features end-to-end, focusing on reliability, performance, and a polished user experience for millions of users in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop app development using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture and interop between managed and native code.
• Proven track record designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop apps with focus on reliability and performance.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows and building inclusive software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and optionally C++.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase.
• Drive accessibility efforts: UI automation, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and inclusive UI.
• Collaborate with product designers, QA, and stakeholders to shape feature planning and long-term roadmap for Windows platform.
• Own the full lifecycle of features from conception to release and maintenance.
