Job summary

Speechify seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, and C#. You may also work with C++ for native components to deliver high-quality experiences.

You will collaborate with product, UX researchers, QA, and other engineers to shape feature planning and the long-term roadmap for the Windows platform, while driving accessibility and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI and C#/XAML.
• Interoperability between managed (.NET) and native code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop apps with emphasis on reliability, performance, maintainability.
• Experience with accessibility APIs and building inclusive software.
• Strong fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK and WinUI.
• Define and enforce best practices for code architecture, performance, and cross-version compatibility.
• Drive accessibility efforts and ensure keyboard, screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with product, UX researchers, QA, and engineers to shape feature planning and long-term roadmap.
• Diagnose and resolve complex bugs and performance bottlenecks; propose robust solutions.
