Job summary

Speechify is seeking a senior Windows desktop developer to lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML. You will own features end-to-end, ensure accessibility, and drive reliability across Windows 10/11+.

You will collaborate with design, UX, QA, and engineers to shape the Windows roadmap and deliver high-quality software to millions of users. Strong leadership and mentorship are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and shipping production Windows desktop apps.
• Deep understanding of Windows app architecture and interop between managed and native code.
• Strong accessibility and inclusive software development experience.
• Proficient in C#, XAML, and WinUI with knowledge of C++ native components.
• Ability to lead technical design, reviews, and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and end-to-end development of Windows desktop apps.
• Define best practices for UI architecture, performance, memory usage, and cross-version compatibility.
• Drive accessibility integration and validation across features.
• Collaborate with product, UX, QA, and engineering to shape roadmap.
• Own features from conception to release and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex bugs and performance bottlenecks.
