Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik is seeking a Senior Technician to perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and retrofit activities on wind turbines. You will act as in-charge or team lead, delivering leadership and technical direction while building excellent customer relationships.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, safety compliance, and mentoring field teams. The role requires climbing towers, lifting up to 100 pounds, and passing pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Wind Turbine Technician.
• Valid driver’s license (NON-CDL or CDL).
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow safety instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
• Capable of climbing towers and working in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead/perform routine preventive & unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines.
• Assist and help lead large corrective teams with major turbine component replacements.
• Recognize wind turbine error codes and report issues accordingly.
• Maintain general safety practices, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
• Develop and maintain customer relationships and provide technical leadership.
