Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik is seeking a Senior Wind Turbine Technician to work on site, performing advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance, troubleshooting, and retrofit activities. You will lead a site team, serve as in-charge or temporary team leader, and develop strong customer relationships while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; an associate degree is a bonus but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, given proper instructions.
• Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead wind field operations within the assigned contractual scope of responsibilities to customers.
• Perform routine preventive & unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines bringing your skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics.
• Assist and help lead large corrective teams with the replacement of major turbine components, e.g., generators and gearboxes.
• Recognize wind turbine error codes and report the problem; maintain safety and housekeeping practices.
