Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik seeks a Senior Wind Electrical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and retrofit wind turbines on our sites across the US. You will lead on-site teams, oversee electrical and hydraulic systems, and ensure safety and reliability during operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with wind turbine platforms (Senvion preferred) and the ability to work independently, develop diagnostics strategies, and deliver high-quality service while building strong customer

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Wind Turbine Technician or equivalent field experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents and safety procedures.
• Able to pass physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and climb towers.
• Experience with wind turbine platforms (Senvion preferred) and electrical troubleshooting across various brands.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and retrofit activities on wind turbines.
• Serve as on-site team lead or in-charge person for a work crew.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships and provide leadership and technical direction.
• Lead large corrective teams for major turbine component replacements (e.g., generators, gearboxes).
• Ensure safety, compliance with policies, and efficient maintenance operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement operation-focused feedback and improvements.
