Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Senior Welding Engineer – Automated Systems to lead welding process development and code-compliant implementations at our Pewaukee, WI site. The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership for robotic welding teams and strict adherence to AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX.

The position is 1st shift, on-site, with occasional travel for customer integration and commissioning. Ideal for someone with 5–8+ years of progressive welding engineering experience and a strong

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years of welding engineering experience.
• In-depth knowledge of GMAW, GTAW, robotic arc, and laser welding.
• Experience developing, qualifying, and documenting WPS/PQR.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX.
• US citizenship or Green Card holder and living within commuting distance of Pewaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for Robotic Welding Technicians, provide hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Develop, document, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and parameters for new materials and automated processes.
• Select welding processes and evaluate fixtures and cell layouts for part access and repeatability.
• Investigate nonconformances, implement corrective actions, ensure compliance with codes and customer specs.
• Provide technical input on project estimating related to weld feasibility and cycle times.
• Support equipment integration, robot commissioning, and process validation; travel to client facilities as needed.
