Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Pewaukee, WI seeks a Senior Welding Engineer to lead welding process development and qualification for automated systems. You will mentor Robotic Welding Technicians, review weld paths, and ensure procedures and controls meet AWS D1.1 and ASME IX requirements on complex automation projects.

The role offers a direct-hire path, 1st shift on-site work, and opportunities to influence new equipment integration and process validation across diverse customer programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of welding engineering experience.
• Deep technical capability in GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, robotic arc welding, laser welding.
• Experience developing, qualifying, and documenting welding procedures (WPS/PQR).
• Practical knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Robotic Welding Technicians, troubleshooting and analyzing weld programs and parameters.
• Develop, document, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and process parameters for new materials and configurations.
• Select welding processes and evaluate fixtures and cell layouts for accessibility and repeatability.
• Ensure compliance with codes and customer specs; support project estimating and equipment needs.
• Assist with integration, robot commissioning, and on-site startup support.
