Your Talent Team in Pewaukee, WI is hiring a Senior Welding Engineer for automated systems. This on-site, first-shift role focuses on weld process development, code compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX, and mentoring Robotic Welding Technicians across diverse automation projects.

You will lead technical initiatives, qualify WPS/PQRs, review weld paths, and collaborate with design, QA, and engineering teams to sustain top-tier quality while supporting client integrations.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–8+ years of welding engineering experience.
• Welding procedure development and documentation (WPS/PQR).
• Experience with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX is preferred.
• US work authorization (Citizen or Green Card) and Pewaukee commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Robotic Welding Technicians and provide hands-on troubleshooting.
• Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for new materials and configurations.
• Review robot weld programs and paths for quality and repeatability.
• Ensure compliance with AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX and defense-adjacent specs.
• Support project estimating with welding feasibility and cycle times.
