ExcelliSearch, Inc. in Pewaukee, WI seeks a Senior Welding Engineer to lead automated welding initiatives on-site. Responsibilities include welding process development, WPS/PQR qualification, and ensuring compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX while mentoring Robotic Welding Technicians.

The role focuses on robotics, welding procedure qualification, and process validation for complex automation projects with occasional customer-facing support.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of welding engineering experience in production or automation.
• Expertise with GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, robotic arc, and laser welding.
• Proven track record developing WPS/PQR and resolving weld defects.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and reside near Pewaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Robotic Weld Technicians.
• Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Evaluate fixtures and cell layouts with design engineers.
• Ensure code compliance and defect investigation.
• Support project estimating and client startup.
• Travel for commissioning as needed.
