Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Welding Engineer – Automated Systems (AWS D1.1 & Code Compliance) based in Pewaukee, WI. This on-site, first-shift role offers up to $110,000/yr and direct-hire employment.

You will lead welding engineering activities, develop welding procedures, mentor technicians, and ensure code compliance across complex automation projects. Occasional travel for integration and commissioning is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5–8+ years welding engineering experience.
• US work authorization (U.S. Citizen or Green Card).
• Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)/PQR development and qualification.
• AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX knowledge.
• Willing to commute to Pewaukee, WI area.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for Robotic Welding Technicians, providing hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Develop, document, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and parameters for new materials and automated processes.
• Select optimal welding processes and evaluate fixtures and cell layouts for part access and repeatability.
• Investigate nonconformances, implement corrective actions, ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX.
• Provide technical input on project estimating regarding weld feasibility and cycle times.
• Support equipment integration, robot commissioning, and process validation, with travel to client facilities for startup.
