Accounting Search is seeking a Senior Welding Engineer for automated systems in Pewaukee, WI. This on-site, first-shift role leads welding process development, code compliance, and mentorship of Robotic Welding Technicians on complex automation projects.

You will qualify welding procedures (WPS/PQR), review weld paths, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure AWS D1.1 and ASME IX compliance for all builds, while supporting client integration and startup activities.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8+ years welding engineering experience in production or automation.
• Deep capability in GMAW, GTAW, robotic arc, and laser welding.
• Proven WPS/PQR development and defect resolution experience.
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX.
• US work authorization and residency within commuting distance to Pewaukee, WI.

Responsabilités

• Lead Robotic Welding Technicians with hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Develop, document, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and parameters.
• Select welding processes and review fixtures and cell layouts with design engineers.
• Investigate nonconformances and ensure compliance with codes and customer specs.
• Provide input on project estimating for weld feasibility and cycle times.
• Support equipment integration, robot commissioning, and startup at client sites.
