Qualifications

• 5–8+ years welding engineering or robot welding leadership experience.
• Verifiable track record developing, qualifying welding procedures (WPS/PQR).
• Practical knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX, and on-site automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Robotic Weld Technicians and review complex weld programs.
• Develop, document, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and process parameters.
• Select welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, robotic arc, laser) and optimize cell layouts with design engineers.
• Investigate nonconformances, implement corrective actions, ensure code compliance.
• Contribute to project estimating regarding weld feasibility and cycle times.
• Support equipment integration, robot commissioning, and startup at client facilities.
