Job summary

Inovalon seeks a Senior Web Developer & Designer to own the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of company websites and digital experiences. This role blends creative direction with engineering across the stack, with deep WordPress expertise and a proactive use of AI to speed delivery.

You will partner with Marketing to ensure brand aesthetics, voice, and experience are cohesive across channels, while building scalable components and performance-focused experiences that meet WCAG

Qualifications

• 6+ years progressive web development and design delivering production websites and landing pages.
• Expert WordPress skills: custom themes/plugins, Gutenberg blocks, ACF, multisite, headless builds.
• Proficient in PHP 8+, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript; experience with React.
• Write clean semantic HTML and modern CSS; familiarity with Tailwind or Bootstrap.
• Experience creating and maintaining a design system and component library.
• Strong MySQL or Postgres; performance tuning.
• Accessibility expertise with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA.
• Git workflows, CI/CD, Docker, deployment with CDN.
• Marketing stack: Marketo, GA4, tag managers, Optimizely.
• Fluency with AI tooling for code, content, and design.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack web builds with WordPress as the primary CMS, including themes, plugins, ACF, and blocks.
• Design and implement page layouts, component libraries, and patterns in Figma and code.
• Build performant, accessible front-end with HTML5, CSS, JS; React for headless contexts.
• Develop secure back-end features in PHP 8+, manage DB queries; REST/GraphQL endpoints.
• Integrate Marketo, GA4, and tag managers for marketing analytics.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores via coding and optimization.
• Ensure WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility and cross-browser testing.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines; Git workflows.
• Harden security; backups and rollback strategies.
• Use AI tools to accelerate ideation, wireframing, content generation, and QA.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into roadmaps and acceptance criteria.
• Define analytics frameworks; run A/B tests to improve conversions.
• Maintain site appearance and governance across CMS templates.
• Stay current with web techniques and tooling upgrades.
