Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) based in Parsippany or Sparta, New Jersey with hybrid flexibility. The role emphasizes designing water and wastewater facilities and leading technical work for senior engineers.

Applicants should have 5–10 years of experience, a PE or near-term path to licensure, and solid knowledge of NJDEP regulations and EPA standards. Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 with a discretionary year-end bonus.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands on water and wastewater design experience.
• PE license, or close enough that you will have it within roughly six to twelve months.
• Strong working knowledge of NJDEP regulations and permitting, plus EPA, CWA, SDWA.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, storage facilities, and distribution/collection systems to standards.
• Feasibility and planning studies including hydraulic, process and environmental evaluations.
• Regulatory coordination including NJPDES permits and related approvals.
• Site investigations and field assessments to support design and construction.
• Cross disciplinary collaboration with structural, civil and MEP teams; mentorship of junior staff.
