Job summary

American Water seeks a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of capital investment projects from inception to closeout in Indiana. You will guide scope, schedule, cost, and quality while coordinating with Asset Owners, Operations, Technical Services, and external teams.

The role requires strong leadership, risk management, and clear executive reporting. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management and extensive project management

• Experience leading capital projects in water and wastewater facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, monitors, and controls scope, schedule, and budget for capital projects of varying complexity.
• Drives efficiency in delivery by disciplined forecasting and change control.
• Leads project governance via CPM processes and internal reporting.
• Coordinates with Asset Owners/Operations and external consultants/contractors.
• Manages risk registers, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Mentors Project Managers and promotes standard CPM practices.
