Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead water resources projects in California. As a principal-level engineer, you will manage design, planning, and delivery of pump stations, tanks, and transmission mains, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients.

Applicants should have a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, CA PE license, 14+ years of relevant experience, and proven leadership in large design/construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering; 14+ years of relevant experience.
• CA PE licensure required; 4+ years of project and staff management.
• Experience with pump stations, storage tanks, and water distribution design.
• Master’s degree preferred; strong client relations and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a project manager on larger design and construction projects.
• Provide technical leadership within the Water Resources sector.
• Prepare reports, construction drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Develop proposals and budgets for large engineering efforts.
• Meet with clients to scope projects, estimate staffing and fees.
• Maintain client relationships before, during, and after projects.
• Mentor Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers.
• Balance workload projections for multiple projects.
