KCI Technologies, an employee-owned engineering firm, seeks a Senior Water Resources Project Manager to oversee complex projects and multi-project programs in the Duluth, GA area. This role provides strategic direction, coordinates teams, and drives large-scale project outcomes from inception to delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in water resources, PE licensure, and strong leadership with a track record in managing design teams and growing business.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Water Resources.
• Professional Engineering Licensure required.
• Experience leading a team of engineers/designers.
• Project Management experience, with experience in managing and growing a design team preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge base in water/wastewater design.
• Experience with contract management, billing, and workload planning to track/meet budgets.
• Experience and passion for growth into new business sectors.
• Successful candidate should have local client contacts and the ability to bring in new business; marketing and business development are required elements.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the project(s), including technical staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure timely and successful project completion.
• Develop and communicate the Project Management Plan for the project, outlining objectives, scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Effectively manage the project scope, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project requirements.
• Maintain project schedules, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays or conflicts to minimize impact on timelines.
• Define and refine requirements through a project lifecycle.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost-control measures to stay within budget.
• Uphold high-quality standards, oversee QA processes and adherence to standards.
• Serve as primary client contact, maintaining open communication and addressing inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive project success and foster collaboration.
• Identify and mitigate risks for projects and teams.
• Knowledge of different project delivery methods and how to deliver successfully.
