Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our North Central Community Development team in Minnesota. You will lead hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, perform studies, and provide technical guidance to Land Development teams.

Required experience includes PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months, 5+ years in water resources design, and proficiency with TR-55/HEC-RAS/AutoCAD Civil 3D. Strong communication is valued alongside solid field participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.
• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience (TR-55/TR-20/PC-SWMM/HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS/HydroCAD).
• Proficient using CAD programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Stormwater management, drainage, erosion & sediment control analysis and design for projects and studies.
• Provide technical guidance in hydrologic/hydraulic design and analysis to Land Development teams.
• Independently manage and perform hydrologic/hydraulic design tasks, reports, studies.
• Assist in plan development and cost estimation.
• Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
• Participate in field work as needed.
