Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our North Central Community Development team. You will work on stormwater, drainage, and erosion & sediment control tasks, guided by hydrologic and hydraulic design principles to deliver robust site solutions.

You will provide technical guidance to Land Development teams, manage design tasks, and contribute to cost estimates while coordinating with project schedules and field activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for projects and studies.
• Provide technical guidance to Land Development teams in hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analysis.
• Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.
• Assist in plan development and cost estimation.
• Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
• Participate in field work as needed.
