Job summary

Stantec in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Water Resources Engineer to work on diverse projects, independently and as part of a team. You will evaluate, specify, and engineer civil systems, lead analyses for reliability and cost-effectiveness, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a Bachelor in Civil or Environmental Engineering and 7–8 years of experience; PE license preferred. You’ll collaborate with clients and consultants, manage budgets, and help advance water

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 7–8 years of experience; hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, stormwater BMP implementation, water quality, stream restoration, and floodplain analyses.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage multiple projects.
• Engineer‑of‑Record responsibilities.
• Lead technical guidance for civil projects and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with client relationships and external consultants.
• Lead project coordination meetings and cost estimating.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach; support proposals and negotiations.
