Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Controls Business Class Lead for its Water Business Group in the United States. The role focuses on developing and implementing project controls practices to ensure scope, schedule, and budget performance across water-related projects.

Responsibilities include leading a team of project controls professionals, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and delivering performance analyses to HDR and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project controls on engineering/construction projects.
• Ability to manage proposal prep, contracts, client relations, and win strategy for medium to large EPC projects.
• Strong decision‑making and leadership skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project controls practice for HDR Water Group.
• Develop and implement project controls processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with program managers, clients, and stakeholders to align controls strategies.
• Oversee staffing and mentorship for project controls personnel.
• Provide comprehensive project performance summaries to HDR and clients.
• Coordinate with PMIS and engineering teams to optimize data and reporting.
