Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Controls Business Class Lead for its Water Business Group in the United States. The role drives scope, schedule, and budget management across water projects including wastewater, dams, levees, and drinking water.

Responsibilities include leading a project controls team, developing best practices, and coordinating with program management to deliver performance. HDR emphasizes growth, collaboration, and effective client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 10 years in project controls on engineering/construction projects.
• Experience with EPC projects and various delivery methods.
• Ability to manage proposals, contracts, client relationships, and win strategies.
• U.S. employment authorization sponsorship (visa) not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Senior Project Controls team to manage scope, budget, and schedule across programs.
• Direct staffing and develop a project controls plan for the program.
• Collaborate with the PMIS team to select technology solutions for data management.
• Advise stakeholders on program trends, deficiencies, and mitigation.
• Provide comprehensive summaries of project performance to HDR and clients.
• Establish templates, WBS structures, and KPIs to improve quality and efficiency.
• Facilitate cross‑company planning sessions and coordinate with construction schedules.
• Mentor project controls personnel and support knowledge sharing.
