Job summary

BELFOR is seeking a Specialist in Water Damage - Advanced to lead drying and repair efforts for residential, commercial, industrial buildings and their contents. You will serve as a local, regional, and national resource, directing teams and ensuring safety and quality on complex losses.

The role requires knowledge of humidity control, electrical needs for drying equipment, and the ability to work odd hours, weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard
• Experience with IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard
• Hold IICRC ASD designation
• Proven mastery of BELFOR Water Damage procedures

Responsibilities

• Direct field teams and ensure PPE usage.
• Document project progress and report challenges.
• Provide field documentation, photos, and sketches for projects.
• Develop humidity content records and determine drying objectives.
• Calculate humidity load and affected building volume; request support for large losses.
• Assess electrical consumption and temporary power needs for drying equipment.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintenance.
• Uphold BELFOR standards to protect client property.
• Maintain strong customer service and communication.
• Work with tight deadlines; periodic travel and night/weekend shifts.
• Accurately report time worked and equipment used.
• Attend required BELFOR operations and safety trainings.
