Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an experienced Specialist in Water Damage - Advanced to lead drying and repair for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. You will manage humidity, electrical power needs, and complex drying systems while coordinating teams and ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role demands strong customer service, technical knowledge of drying equipment, and flexibility for travel, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard
• Current IICRC ASD designation
• Mastery of BELFOR Water Damage procedures and book
• Proficiency with moisture meters and infrared camera
• Understanding of air mover calculation and LGR dehumidification charts
• Knowledge of electrical power requirements for drying equipment

Responsibilities

• Direct teams in PPE usage and safety protocols
• Review project requirements, document progress, and report challenges
• Provide field documentation, photos, charts and sketches for projects
• Draw moisture maps, read plans, and set drying objectives
• Calculate humidity load and affected cubic meters, request additional support for large losses
• Determine electrical consumption and temporary power needs
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks
• Commit to BELFOR standards and safeguarding client properties
• Maintain excellent customer service and professional conduct
• Be prepared for travel, night shifts, and weekend work
• Accurate time and material reporting; attend required trainings
