Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead gravity sewer, force mains, and water distribution projects across the Southwest. You will act as Engineer-of-Record and guide design, specifications, and construction documents, while nurturing client relationships.

The role emphasizes mentoring a local team, growing the New Mexico practice, and delivering iconic water projects. A PE license or eligibility within six months is required, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with gravity sewer design and water transmission mains.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years in water, wastewater, or stormwater conveyance projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design on gravity sewer pipes, force mains, and water distribution projects.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record and prepare technical specs and construction documents.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to scoping, value analysis, and estimates.
• Supervise engineers and staff; set priorities, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Lead value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Develop project scope and budgets; support marketing and proposals.
