Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead gravity sewer, force main, water distribution, and transmission projects in the Southwest. You will act as technical lead, oversee design and construction, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in water conveyance design, PE registration within six months, and strong communication skills with a collaborative, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; advanced degree desirable.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater conveyance design.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on Southwest water conveyance projects.
• Design and evaluate sewer, water distribution, and transmission mains; prepare specs and construction documents.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record; sign and review technical work for accuracy.
• Manage client relationships; lead scoping, value analysis, and cost estimating meetings.
• Supervise engineers and staff; set priorities, budgets, and schedules.
