Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced civil engineer for leadership on water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance projects in the Southwest, primarily New Mexico with regional responsibilities. You will guide design and construction, mentor staff, and grow client relationships while delivering complex water infrastructure.

You will act as Project Engineer-of-Record, develop technical specifications, and contribute to proposals and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
• Minimum 5 years in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater conveyance design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and construction of gravity sewers and water distribution systems.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record, sign and review project documents.
• Manage client relations, scoping, and cost estimating meetings.
• Supervise engineers and staff to meet scope, budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors on projects.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches for proposals.

Education

Bachelors in Civil Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) registration or ability to obtain in 6 months
