Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced civil engineer to lead design and construction of gravity sewer pipes, force mains, water distribution and transmission mains in New Mexico. You’ll serve as Engineer-of-Record, guide project specs and documents, and mentor a local team on iconic water projects across the Southwest.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in water conveyance design, a PE license or near-term plan to obtain, and strong skills in AutoCAD Civil3D and hydraulic software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of water, wastewater, or stormwater conveyance design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and construction tasks for gravity sewer, force mains, water distribution and transmission mains.
• Act as Engineer-of-Record and prepare technical specs and construction documents.
• Manage client relationships, scoping, cost estimates, and proposals.
• Supervise engineers and project staff, set priorities and schedules.
• Lead value engineering and constructability reviews; coordinate with clients and contractors.
