Job summary

Ascendo Resources in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will lead floor teams, ensure inventory accuracy, and coordinate inbound and outbound activities while upholding safety standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership on the warehouse floor, with flexibility to work outside traditional hours to support operations and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse management or distribution leadership.
• Experience supervising supervisors/leads/associates.
• Strong knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory control, and operations.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational decisions.
• Experience tracking warehouse KPIs and performance.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse technology.
• Forklift knowledge or experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily receiving, storage, inventory, shipping, and distribution activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and staff.
• Ensure inbound/outbound inventory is accurate and on schedule.
• Maintain inventory levels with cycle counts and audits.
• Coordinate shipping schedules and transportation activities.
• Ensure documentation for shipping/receiving is accurate.
• Monitor KPIs and drive productivity improvements.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
• Drive continuous improvement and warehouse procedures.
• Support training and workforce development.
