Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Day shift Warehouse Supervisor for its Elizabeth, NJ facility. You will lead a fast-paced foodservice distribution team, directing daily activities and driving performance to meet safety, accuracy, and customer service standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of supervisory experience, strong leadership, and hands-on knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and cross-department coordination. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience strongly preferred.
• Foodservice, grocery, refrigerated, or high-volume distribution experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate warehouse employees.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with warehouse management systems, RF scanners, or similar technology preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of warehouse safety, sanitation, inventory control, and product rotation practices.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-shift warehouse employees and daily activities.
• Assign work and adjust staffing based on workload and priorities.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy, attendance, and overall employee performance.
• Coach, train, and develop warehouse employees to meet performance expectations.
• Ensure customer orders are selected, staged, loaded, or processed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate inventory and investigate shortages, damages, mis-picks, and other discrepancies.
• Ensure proper handling, rotation, and storage of dry, refrigerated, and frozen food products.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals, expectations, safety topics, and priorities.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, sanitation requirements, and food-handling standards.
• Identify workflow issues and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors and waste.
• Coordinate with transportation, purchasing, inventory control, customer service, and other departments to keep operations running smoothly.
• Complete required operational reports and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions when necessary.
• Lead by example and create a culture of accountability, teamwork, urgency, and respect.

Description: One of our clients is seeking a Day shift Warehouse Supervisor for their facility located in Northern New Jersey. They need an experienced, Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse team in a fast-paced foodservice distribution environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who knows how to balance safety, productivity, accuracy, food quality, and customer service. You will be responsible for directing daily warehouse activities, developing employees, maintaining performance standards, and ensuring orders and inventory are handled accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Do
