Job summary

Performance Team in New Jersey is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials in a busy distribution center. You will coordinate 20+ employees, plan workflows, and align staffing to meet customer metrics on a full-time, on-site basis.

The role requires a high school diploma (GED) and basic related experience. You will maintain inventory accuracy, run cycle counts, and communicate procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate records of inventory adjustments – cycles, physicals and catch weight audits performed.
• Assist with Inventory Control.
• Maintains inventory accuracy.
• Maintain Supply Areas.
• Involves maintaining computerized records of inventory.
• Performing cycle count, investigate variances, adjust inventory records as required.
• Reviews inbound appointment log and open order report each day to plan work activities.
• Plans inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
• Determines staffing needs and schedules staff accordingly.
• Assigns workers to specific duties based on work load and shipping schedules.
• Reviews and updates operational procedures and ensures communication to warehouse staff.
• Tracks productivity and evaluates performance by individual and department.
• Manages payroll of department.
• Advises employees on handling of items and use of equipment.
• Traces history of items to resolve discrepancies.
• Determines work procedures and expedit es workflow.
• Issues written and oral instructions.
• Ensures proper safety procedures are followed.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
