Job summary

Performance Team in New Jersey is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead activities related to ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials in a stockroom or warehouse. This role focuses on maintaining accuracy, planning daily work, and ensuring efficient distribution operations.

The supervisor will oversee 20+ employees, enforce safety procedures, and coordinate with Inventory Control to minimize discrepancies while supporting timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of inventory adjustments and audits; assist with inventory control.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper storage areas.
• Plan inbound/outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
• Determine staffing needs and schedule staff accordingly.
• Assign workers to duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
• Review and update operating procedures and ensure communication to workers.
• Track productivity and evaluate performance by individual and department.
• Work with Inventory Control to ensure accuracy.
• Manage payroll for the department.
• Advise employees on handling of received, stored, and shipped items; safety and equipment use.
• Trace item history to resolve discrepancies between records.
